Design, nature, culture and food
In Artipelag’s Design shop you can find design items and ceramics. The near one kilometres long boardwalk at Artipelag offer wonderful nature walks and is specially adapted for wheelchairs and strollers. Artipelag has a well renowned Patisserie and Café and a large terrace with a wonderful view overlooking Baggensfjärden. Here you can enjoy pastries and bread, hot food, sandwiches, salads and of course coffee, tea and other beverages, including beer and wine. Artipelag Restaurant, on the top floor, serves a delicious summer buffet (starting in June). Moreover, Artipelag offers concerts, activities for children, architecture and other types of cultural experiences. Art exhibitions at Artipelag 2024
Berlinde De Bruyckere is a leading artist in European contemporary art, yet her work has never been showcased in Sweden before. On February 3 2024, Artipelag will open a comprehensive exhibition featuring around thirty of De Bruyckere's pieces spanning from 1995 to the present.
The exhibition comprises sculptures and installations crafted from various materials, including wax, horsehide, metal, and wood, along with gouache paintings on paper.
Born in the Belgian city of Ghent in 1964, Berlinde De Bruyckere received her education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, where she continues to reside and work. The exhibition is shown until May 26.

Magnificent Art Experience - Imagine monet
In Artipelag's spacious event hall Artbox, spanning over 1000 square meters, you will see a magnificent art experience like no other. The experience delves into Monet's universe, removing the boundaries and allowing you, as a visitor, to experience the artworks in an entirely new way. His timeless masterpieces are showcased using the latest technology, projected onto both walls and floors, accompanied by music. Claude Monet was born in Paris in 1840 and became one of the foremost representatives of Impressionism. The Impressionists were the first artists who sought to escape the confines of the frame, which restricted the artwork and isolated it from its surroundings.
Bus or boat back to Stockholm
We also recommed that you travel from Artipelag back to Stockholm with the boat.
All days of the week you can go back to Stockholm (City Terminal) with Artipelag's direct bus, or take the SL-bus back from the stop Hålludden by Artipelag. You then change bus by Värmdö Marknad and carry on to Slussen in Stockholm. The journey takes ca. 40 minutes.
