A sightseeing tour in Berlin either alone or with children will get you hungry, so we have 6 great places to have a pause and a delicious snack. Berlin is known for its variety of snacks: kebab, pizza or the good old Currywurst. The offer is huge, so it is sometimes difficult to keep track of things. We'll help you by providing you and your family with insider-tips for places and locations that you shouldn't miss. Here you will have some tips of where to eat and where along the Stromma hop on hop off bus sightseeing tour you can jump off to eat.

1. Simon-Dach-Strasse is the heart of the alternative trendy district of Friedrichshain

In addition to bars, pubs and cafes, there is also an enormous selection of restaurants of various types for family member. Everything is possible including international cuisine on a gastronomic level, snacks, fast-food shops and on weekends even a market with fresh fruit, vegetables and meat from the Berlin area. The whole thing is rounded off by unusually low prices and an almost 24-hour service.

2. In Chipi Chipi Bombón, you find one of the best ice cream parlours in town

The Chipi Chipi Bombón is located at Warschauer Str., one of the most important streets in the city. Despite its simple design and manageable size, it hides real treasures of chilled delicacies inside. Original ice cream with roots in Argentina is offered here as well as  extremely exotic flavours to satisfy the taste receptors of adults and children. Caution: There is a high risk of addiction!
Address: Warschauer Str. 12, 10243

3. The Hackesche Markt has been a hub of life, art and culture in Berlin Mitte for decades

This applies to its gastronomy, international cuisine, tapas and fast-food to-go. Everything your heart desires is available here. In the summer months, the culinary delights are accompanied by street musicians and small artists until late in the evening. The Spree is also only a few meters away. Just a place to enjoy! It is simply a place that invites the family to have a place and enjoy the time!

4. Burger fans will get their money's worth in Andy's diner

Between Hackescher Markt and the Berlin Cathedral is Andy's Diner, an outstanding restaurant where lovers of American fast food and XXL burgers cavort. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, the fries come with every imaginable kind of dips and sauces and the burgers are between huge and gigantic, depending on your choice. You will definitely find something that will suffice your hunger and please your palate. ;)

5. KaDeWe offers you an incomparable menu and a fantastic view

For the epicures, the Kaufhaus des Westens for short, KaDeWe, is an inevitable logical stop. Steaks, lobster, prawns, truffles and a unique selection of champagne and scotch make the KaDeWe a luxury experience.

6. We recommend the Witty's Wittenbergplatz for simpler pleasures for all ages

Directly between the underground station and KaDeWe it goes to Witty's Wittenbergplatz. This long-established snack bar makes a simple Currywurst such a taste experience that, among other things, Former Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder ordered his beer with a curry / french fries Rot-Weiss. Rot-Weiss is German for Red & White, and it actually means that you want Ketchup and Mayo.
