On December 13, 2026, you can experience the floating Lucia Parade in Copenhagen from the water. This popular event attracts thousands of visitors, so why not skip the crowds on land and enjoy the view from one of our special canal cruises? All tours take place on covered and heated boats and are not guided.

Watch Stromma’s canal boat with the choir on board and more than 500 kayaks decorated with twinkling lights as they make their way through Copenhagen’s canals and harbor.
Our special Lucia cruises let you experience the parade at different points along the route, so you can see the illuminated kayaks and hear the choir several times throughout the evening.

Choose between three different Lucia Canal Cruises. Please note that there might be delays and changes to the routes on the day due to the many kayaks and other boats in the water.

Experience the floating Lucia Parade from the water on a 1-hour and 45-minute cruise.
Where will I see the parade?
- Inderhavnsbroen: Watch the illuminated kayaks enter Nyhavn
- Christianshavn Canal: We sail in front of the parade
- Slotsholmskanalen: We sail in front of the parade
- Ved Stranden: Watch the parade pass by and hear the choir sing. The tour ends here
Extended Lucia Canal Cruise – single tickets (green route on map)
Enjoy a 2-hour Lucia experience with several opportunities to see the floating parade along the route.
Where will I see the parade?
- Nyhavn: Watch the illuminated kayaks sail toward you and hear the choir sing. You can also step off the boat and experience the parade from our pier
- Nyhavn: We follow the parade through the canal
- Circle Bridge: Watch the kayaks come out of Christianshavn Canal and pass under the bridge
- Slotsholmskanalen: We sail in front of the parade
- Ved Stranden: Watch the parade pass by and hear the choir sing. The tour ends here

Departure points & practical information
All three tours depart from Ofelia Plads and end at Ved Stranden. Both locations are centrally located and easily accessible on foot and by public transportation. If you arrive by car, please allow extra time to find parking. We recommend using one of the parking garages, as street parking is limited and can be difficult to find, especially on event days.
