Den Blå Planet (The Blue Planet), located in Kastrup, a suburb of Copenhagen, is a combined salt and freshwater aquarium, with over 20000 fishes divided into 53 aquariums. The aquarium is divided into 5 main areas; The Rainforest, The African Great Lakes, Evolution and Adaption, Cold Water and The Warm Ocean.
The largest aquarium is 7-8 meters deep and through the aquarium there is a passage for visitors. The visitors are thus "inside the aquarium" and can study the fish from all directions.
There are also sea otters, seals, jellyfish, and several species of sharks and rays. You can also watch crocodiles, other reptiles and various amphibians, as well as tropical snakes.
