Experience the Magical Lights on a Canal Tour

From January 30 through February 22, 2026, Copenhagen comes alive with a vibrant display of light installations, illuminating the city in a mesmerizing display of colors and shapes.

Below you can see our special canal cruise route for Copenhagen Light Festival 2026. The tour departing from Nyhavn is shown in red, while the tour departing from Ved Stranden is shown in yellow. Stromma’s Light Festival Canal Tour is designed to showcase the stunning artworks along Copenhagen’s picturesque canals and historic harbor.

Please note that Hygge will sail an alternative route.

We sail every evening during the festival, departing from Nyhavn 3 and Ved Stranden 26. All our canal boats are covered and heated, while Hygge offers heated seats and soft blankets on board.

The 50-minute boat tour is live guided in English and Danish. On the canal cruise, our guide shares insights into the artworks and the artists’ ideas behind their creations. On Hygge, it’s a more conversational tour focusing on Copenhagen, Danish culture, and brief information about the light installations we pass along the way.
