Experience the light in the winter darkness when Copenhagen Light Festival returns in February 2024. See all the unique light sculptures and installations on board our special guided 'Light Festival' canal tours.
Live guided canal cruise along the light show
Sit back in our covered and heated boats as you listen to our guide share stories about the artworks, the artists, and the inspirations behind their piece. The festival features both Danish and international artists who have created unique light installations along the waterfront. This guided canal cruise starts from our departure point Ved Stranden and sails for approximately 45 minutes.
About the light festival route 2023
Both visitors and residents gather to explore the artistic light show installations. In 2023, unique light installations lit up the city, especially along the water fronts. Copenhagen Light Festival aims to shine a light through the Danish February darkness with poetic, awe-inspiring, and meditative lights along the canals and harbor.
This page will be continuously updated with details and information about the 2024 festival. More can be found at www.copenhagenlightfestival.org
All our boats are covered and heated
We sail in both heavy wind and rain as the boats are covered and heated. In case of high tide our departure is from the National Bank. You will be informed at the ticket house. In case of heavy ice on the canals, the tour will be cancelled. We will keep you updated here on the website.
Proud founding partner of the festival
Stromma Denmark is proud to be one of the founding partners of the festival. By buying a ticket with us, or another founding partner, you ensure that the festival can take place in future years.
