Performing venues of versatile and skillful jazz pianist, Janne Maarala, vary from concert halls to jazz clubs and festivals, from churches to cruise ships. He leads a wide variety of his own bands. Totally improvised solo piano concerts are becoming one of his ”trademarks”.

In this cruise you will hear music of legendary jazz saxophonists like Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon ja Lester Young.

Eero Koivistoinen (born in 1946), one of the all-time greats in Finnish jazz and saxophone, arrived in the Finnish jazz scene in the mid-60s. Ever since, he has been one of the most distinguished and trusted jazz musicians in Finland. He is known for his versatility and creativeness, his tastes ranging from pithy jazz solos to large-scale orchestral works.

Satisfaction guaranteed! A collection of beautiful and swinging classics performed by two legends: Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole. Some other jazz evergreens add spice to the musical menu of the night.

Sami Pitkämö is a versatile artist: musician, vocalist, singer-songwriter, arranger, conductor and producer. His own orchestra has been seen many years in a famous show Dancing with The Stars in Finland's leading commercial media operator MTV. He was one of the judges in Finnish Idol in 2011. Sami Pitkämö has been chosen three times as the best male vocalist in Finland by a critique poll in magazine Jazzrytmit. He has toured around the world with his own bands and performed with many top artists in Finland both at stage and in studio.

A golden collection of jazz evergreens by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin and other masterful composers and contributors to ”The Great American Songbook”.
Nina Mya (born in 1989) is a Finnish jazz singer, composer, vocal teacher and a band leader. She has has participated in several jazz vocal competitions and events bringing her awards; one being mentioned the Soloist Price at the Young Nordic Jazz Comets 2011. In July 2012 Nina was awarded with the title of “Artist Of The Year 2012″ by Pori Jazz Festival.

Nina’s strengths as a singer is her unique sound and brilliant voice technique. She has a deep, dark and colorful voice, while her phrasing is sure and rhythmically precise. She is an amazing improviser and performer who is able to interpret stories in a way that audience won’t forget.

Come and enjoy some of the best jazz tunes in the history movie music! Love Story,  Moon River (from Breakfast in Tiffany), I will wait for you (from Umbrellas of Cherborough, As Time Goes By (from Casablanca) and ´Round Midnight are just a few of the pearls that you will hear on this cruise.

Double bassist Ville Herrala (b. 1979) is one the most employed and versatile jazz musicians in Finland. He has played in several different groups both in Finland and abroad and gained appreciation as a talented jazz musician. He has been playing with i.a. Jukka Perko, Severi Pyysalo, Jukkis Uotila, Eero Koivistoinen, UMO and Karita Mattila. He has also worked with many international stars of jazz, for example with Jerry Bergonzi, Phil Markovitz, John Tchicai and Cuong Vu.

Great trumpet evergreens give this cruise a wonderful musical atmosphere. Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams and The Green Hornet Theme are examples of many songs perormed during the evening.

Tero Lindberg is a leading Finnish trumpeter. He has played on numerous records and tours by front-line Finnish artists and many TV programmes (such as the Finnish version of Britain's Strictly Come Dancing and Norway's Stjernekamp). In recent years he has also toured Europe with such bands and artists as the Sunrise Avenue, the Leningrad Cowboys and Jimi Tenor. At present a regular member of Dallapé, the orchestras of front-line Finnish entertainers Paula Koivuniemi and Mikko Leppilampi, he also plays lead trumpet in the Espoo Big Band and the Turku Jazz Orchestra.
