From the 26th of November 2026 till the 17th of January 2027, Amsterdam Light Festival transforms the city’s canals with light art. Experience the artworks from a warm, enclosed boat designed for comfortable winter sightseeing. Relax as you travel through Amsterdam’s illuminated canals, while the audio guide shares stories behind the festival’s light art.

Departure points and refreshments

The Amsterdam Light Festival Canal Cruise departs from Central Station bridge and Damrak, both near Amsterdam Central Station. At the departure points, you can buy hot chocolate and glühwein before boarding – a warming start to an evening on the illuminated canals.
