During this luxury day trip you experience all of the things traditionally associated with the Netherlands: tulips at the Keukenhof flower garden, clogs and cheese in the fishing village of Volendam and windmills in the Zaanse Schans open-air conservation area.
The tour sets off from our central departure point in Amsterdam. From here we take you on a colourful bus tour through the Bulb Region. Our first destination is Keukenhof, the largest flower garden in the world. Wander through the park and admire more than 800 different types of tulips.
Having spent 3.5 hours enjoying the floral spectacle of Keukenhof, we then travel to Zaanse Schans. Here you can visit a windmill, witness the traditional art of clog making and see inside the cheese dairy. There is also time to explore the area on your own.
The day concludes with a visit to Volendam. This picturesque fishing village has been one of the country’s main tourist attractions since the 19th century. Stroll along the old harbour front, have your photo taken in traditional dress, or buy some typically Dutch souvenirs. And do be sure to try the local fish! From Volendam we travel back to Amsterdam filled with impressions of the highlights of Holland.
With your ticket you get a free Amsterdam Canal Cruise in our capital. You can take this 1 hour canal cruise on a day and time of your choice.
