Enjoy a wonderful cruise through the Gothenburg Archipelago to the west coast pearl of Marstrand. The M/S Göteborg, built in 1915, departs from Lilla Bommen in Gothenburg. During the cruise, the on-board guide tells us interesting historical and modern facts about the places we pass. Enjoy the stunning views and scenic islands with rugged rocks and lush woods. The boat docks at the idyllic island of Källö-Knippla, where we enjoy a 30 minute guided walk.
Discover picturesque Marstrand
Once we reach Sweden’s sailing capital of Marstrand, the boat docks for one hour and those of you who want to can come along on our guided walk around the archipelago city. If you’d prefer to enjoy the beautiful views, stroll around the shops, or relax at one of the many cafés and restaurants, that’s fine too!
Visit Carlsten Fortress
The mighty Carlsten Fortress, built during the second half of the 17th century, is one of the main attractions in Marstrand. At the Fortress you experience exciting stories about its history as a defensive outpost and a prison for notorious prisoners such as Lasse-Maja. The coastal town has a charming and relaxing atmosphere, with its quaint districts and pedestrianised streets.
All-day cruise with dinner buffet and pastries buffet
A delightful pastries buffet is served during the journey to Marstrand, with tempting cakes, biscuits, pastries and coffee/tea. On the journey back to Gothenburg, we serve a marvellous West Coast buffet, with seafood delicacies and classic trimmings, in the elegant Edwardian dining room aboard the M/S Göteborg.
Boat transport to/from Marstrand
If you want to get to or from Marstrand in a pleasant way, you can simply book a single ticket or a return ticket to/from Marstrand. The journey to Marstrand includes commentary from a guide and a stop with a guided walk on the archipelago island of Källö-Knippla. You can buy light refreshments, sandwiches, snacks and beverages on board.
