Christmas market in the archipelago

Head out to Gothenburg’s famous archipelago to visit the market on the island Hönö Klåva to experience the genuine Swedish maritime Christmas mood among fishing boots and archipelago houses. “Skärgården I Advent,” as it’s called in Swedish, has become a beloved tradition going into its sixteenth year now. And this year, the market has gotten even bigger and has been scheduled for an additional three Saturdays!

Christmas dinner in the archipelago

In 2004, Gothenburg started its own tradition on a singing Christmas tree which consists of several choir taking turns performing modern and traditional Christmas carols.
