In the Swedish capital you will find bars for all tastes. Here is a selection of bars with unique environments located in central Stockholm. They each have their different style and audience so if you visit all of them you will meet locals with widely different styles and interests.
Let us give you some inspiration for an evening out in Stockholm. We take you on a pub crawl from the fashionable inner city district to the more relaxing part on the south side, Södermalm.
At the historical Grand Hôtel in Stockholm you find the sophisticated Cadier bar. The mix of locals and hotel guests contributes to an international and relaxed atmosphere. Some of Sweden's best bartenders work here, so take the opportunity to order your favorite drink. The bar is named after Régis Cadier a French chef and the founder of the hotel.

ICEBAR Stockholm by ICEHOTEL was the world's first permanent icebar. The whole bar, including the drink glasses, is sculpted from natural ice taken from the northernmost part of Sweden. The temperature inside is -5°C (23°F), you will borrow an ice cape and gloves at the bar. ICEBAR is located in central Stockholm inside Hotel C Stockholm and it’s a popular attraction for both locals and visitors that want to get a taste of the Artic North.

This unique bar is located on board the classic archipelago ship S/S Stockholm, built in 1931. The ship has been carefully renovated in classic Art Deco style. The bar is open on selected days of the week and during the evening the ship cruises the city's quays for 2-3 hours. Small courses are served at the bar and upstairs you find the boat's à la carte restaurant.

Kvarnen is not an ordinary bar but rather a beer hall and restaurant with old traditions. It’s located in the middle of Södermalm, and was inaugurated in 1908. At large it has retained its culturally historically valuable interior. The bar is a popular gathering place for local football supporters so on match days it might be a lot of fans and a slightly noisier environment, in a positive sense!

This bar is also located on Södermalm on Götgatan in one of Stockholm’s highest buildings, Skrapan. At the top floor you find the bar Himlen, 104 meters above the ground. Here you can enjoy amazing drinks in a vibrant environment but also some of the best views of Stockholm. Himlen is located on two floors, on the 25th there is a restaurant and the bar is located on the 26th floor.
