The guided city walks are available for groups throughout the year on request. The walking tours explore four different aspects of the city:

Senate Square – the historical heart of Helsinki

An insight into the history and architecture of Helsinki. The tour includes a wide range of the main sights of Helsinki’s imperial center such as the beautiful white Helsinki Cathedral, the buildings of Helsinki University and the library, Council of States, the Bank of Finland, the House of Estates, the State Archives, the House of Nobilities, the Main Guard Building and the Presidential Palace.

Arabia District – Art & Design

History meets tomorrow’s technology. The guided tour in Arabia District introduces you to arts & design both indoors and outside. The history of Helsinki begins in the area known as Arabia at the mouth of the River Vantaa. Today the Arabianranta area is the most significant design cluster in Finland.

Visit to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress

A visit to the Sea Fortress of Suomenlinna gives you an overview of several centuries of Finnish history under Swedish and Russian rule and then as an independent state. Suomenlinna is among the most popular sights in Finland and is one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. During the tour your guide will tell you about the eventful history of the island as well as the life on the island today.

Helsinki’s Russian Past

Let the guide take you on an adventure around Katajanokka, the former district of sailors, down-and-outs and smugglers. Katajanokka was known of speakeasies and had a very mysterious reputation. During the tour you will hear compelling stories from the past, can admire the beautiful Uspenski Cathedral and see the former prison which is nowadays an unique hotel.
