Amsterdam Central station
There’s a lot to explore surrounding the Amsterdam Central Station area; shopping, food and drinks, major sightseeing spots, etc. Check out the blogpost about all activities and sights near Central Station.
At this stop you find NEMO, the science museum. Go on their rooftop for a breath taking view of the city. If you’re into boats and historical ships, go to the Maritime Museum or check out the museum harbor (Museumhaven in Dutch) to look at some of the most beautiful boats.
Gassan Diamonds/Rembrandt House
Hop off at this stop for a bedazzling tour about all facets of the diamond industry. While you’re in the area, you might also stumble upon the house where Rembrandt used to work and live, now turned into Museum Rembrandthuis.
At Waterlooplein you find a few vintage shops and a daily market with nicknacks and souvenirs. You’re just a five minute walk away from the Rembrandtplein entertainment area. And it takes about ten minutes to get to the botanical gardens and the Amsterdam zoo.
