Panoramic views at Hammarbybacken

If you want to combine panoramic views of Stockholm with some exercise you should head to Hammarbybacken. It’s a manmade hill standing 93 meters above sea level and Stockholm’s most central ski slope, sporting five slopes, two ski lifts and a snow park with jumps and rails. When it’s not covered in snow it’s very popular spot for exercise like interval training and downhill cycling. Take a hike to the top and enjoy panoramic views over Stockholm!

Views from the water with Under the bridges of Stockholm

Stockholm is at its most beautiful when seen from the water. During this two-hour cruise you get to see many of Stockholm’s main districts – fashionable Östermalm, Old Town, trendy Södermalm and the green canals of Kungsholmen.  The tour takes you through the locks between the bay of Saltsjön and Lake Mälaren. The guiding is available in 11 different languages. There is a small café onboard serving drinks and snacks.

Skinnarviksberget – Stockholms highest natural viewpoint

Skinnarviksberget is located on Södermalm and is Stockholms highest natural viewpoint. From here you can see all the way from Riddarfjärden to Old Town and City Hall on Kungsholmen. It’s a perfect location for a picnic!

Fredhällsklippan – views from a popular swimming spot

Fredhällsklippan is located on Kungsholmen and is a very popular local swimming spot. From here you can see the island of Reimersholme, Långholmen and Gröndal. Have a coffee or a bite to eat at restaurant Solstugan on Snoilskyvägen 37 (open May-September) and enjoy the views of Tranebergssundet.

Located on the 8th floor of Hotel Scandic Continental Stockholm, just opposite the central station, you can find roof top bar Capital. From here you have views over Södermalm and Kungsholmen, as well as the City Hall. On a warm evening you can enjoy the outdoor roof terrace, and on colder days there is an inside sky bar. They specialise in continental cocktails, but also offer a wide variety of beer and wine. Open all year around!
