The Christmas buffet is one of Sweden’s most beloved traditions, and many are looking forward to being able to enjoy it with friends and family again this year. Why not book one in a unique setting to make the experience extra special?
Christmas dining cruise in the archipelago
Onboard one of Stromma’s classic archipelago ships you can enjoy a combination of views of the stunning archipelago in a winter setting, classic Swedish Christmas food and a unique atmosphere. This year you can book a Christmas buffet for lunch or dinner onboard classic archipelago ships M/S Waxholm III, S/S Stockholm and M/S Gustavsberg VII.
Tip – If your party would like to be seated in a more secluded area you can book your own salon onboard one of the ships (suitable for parties between 8 and 40 people).
Christmas at historical Vaxholm’s Kastell
Every year a unique Christmas atmosphere is created under the arches in Restaurant Pansarbatteriet at historical Vaxholm’s Kastell. Here you can enjoy a generous traditional Swedish Christmas buffet with modern elements and vegetarian options. You travel to Vaxholm’s Kastell via boat that departs from Strandvägen in central Stockholm. On the way there you can lean back, enjoy the views and some mulled wine and gingerbread biscuits.
Tip – For groups of friends, family or colleagues that like a challenge we highly recommend that you book one of the Christmas activities available, such as Prisoners at the fortress.
Whilst restaurants have mostly stayed open during the pandemic, certain things, such as number of guests allowed per table, have been restricted. This will now be a thing of the past – allowing you to invite friends or family for a meal at your favourite restaurant again!
Dining cruise onboard S/S Stockholm
Enjoy a fantastic meal onboard one of the most beautiful art deco ships in the city, S/S Stockholm.
