Glamping tents in the middle of naturele
At Birka there are five tents with room for 2 to 4 people – Alfheim, Gimle, Noatun and Trudheim have room for two people and Ydalir can house four people. The tents are furnished with a bed, a lockable chest for your valuables, stools and a table. You will sleep well in the comfortable beds made with hotel-standard bedding. There is also a mosquito net above the beds. Shower and lavatories are available in the service building close to the glamping area - towels, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel is available in your tent.
Enjoy good Viking food – breakfast & dinner included
When checking in you get to make your choices from the breakfast menu and the breakfast is delivered directly to your tent in a basket at a prearranged time in the morning.
Your stay also includes a delicious dinner served at the island’s own restaurant, Särimner. Dinner is served at restaurant Särimner and you choose your own two-course dinner from the á la carte menu.

The experience is sold as a package, and it is not possible to select individual components and receive a price deduction.
Book a Boat Ticket or Berth in the Guest Harbour
Are you coming with your own boat, or do you want to go with Strömma Kanalbolaget's boat from, for example, Stockholm, Hovgården, Mariefred, Härjarö, or Södertälje?
In the booking confirmation, a promotional code is given which gives you a discounted boat trip with Strömma Kanalbolaget - here you can book your ticket. You book your round-trip boat trip on the day of check-in. The boat ticket is still valid for the return journey on the day of check-out.
Boat from Härjarö and Södertälje
Please note that if you are going to spend the night at Birka and come by boat from Härjarö or Södertälje, the boat home departs only every other day. You can choose one of the following options for your journey home:
- Stay two nights at Birka - book two glamping nights
- Book your own journey home by boat with Särimner taxi - not included in the package price
- Take the boat to Klara Mälarstrand in Stockholm on the day of departure - included in the package price
