Visit the heart of Swedish Empire with a guided boat tour with M/S Evert Taube from Stockholm, on calm waterways through beautiful Lake Mälaren to Sigtuna.
The small town of Sigtuna
Sigtuna was founded in 980 and the rune stones, churches and ruins show a transition between the Viking and medieval ages. With its wooden houses from 18th, 19th and 20th century Sigtuna is filled with history and is well worth a visit. You can visit Lundströmska Gården dating back to the 1600s, explore the small churches, interpret the runes or visit the Viking village. For summer strollers there are plenty of cafes, galleries and shopping.
